My most recent completion was Mafia: Definitive edition. This
was a game that I’d previously played and decided to go back to and get the
rest of the achievements. This is rated a 6/10 difficulty and is predicted to
take around 25 hours. The difficulty is a six as it requires you to play
through the game on the hardest difficulty. I actually didn’t find this a
challenge, apart from the race mission which took me hours to do. It took me so
long that I learned all the scripted dialogue in the mission. I hate driving in
games, and this race is notoriously hard, but eventually I got it. This completion
also took me considerably longer than predicted as I had to reset my save and
play through the game again due to an achievement being bugged. Luckily, I
could play on the easiest difficulty to get the last achievement, but it still ended
up taking me 43 hours overall.
Before Mafia, I unlocked all of the achievements in
Assassins Creed Odyssey. This was another previously played game that I decided
to complete. I was left with two base game achievements and all of the DLC to do.
Even with the main story completed and out of the way, it still was still a
tedious task to unlock everything else. There was no real difficulty to this
game, and I can’t remember struggling with anything, but it still took around
120 hours. This was a completion that really dragged, and I was relieved to
delete the game off my Xbox and never look at it again once the last achievement
popped. I wanted to get all Assassins Creed completions, but this one has put
me off going for Valhalla as it follows the same format but is just worse in
every way. More collectibles, DLC, 150+ hours, I’m good.
Watch Dogs is another recent completion of mine, and it’s
one that I mostly enjoyed. I remember liking the game when I played it in 2020,
despite its harsh reviews. During this time, I completed the story and left
with 40% of the achievements. At the beginning of the year, I revisited this
game and unlocked all remaining achievements. I found it to be slightly grindy
and didn’t enjoy going for the multiplayer achievements because they took forever
to get due to servers being inactive. However, I still enjoyed going for this
completion and I don’t think this game deserves all the hate that it gets. I thought
the second game was good also, and plan on going back to complete that at some
point too. I have 86% of the achievements, so it shouldn’t take too long. I
haven’t even bothered to play Legion because it looks terrible, so I have no
plans to complete that one, or ever even play it.
Are you going to be going for Dead island 2?
