The Beginning of My 100% Journey

The first game that I unlocked 100% of the achievements in was The Walking Dead. As it is an Xbox 360 game, I have no way of tracking how many hours it took me, but it was one of my easier completions as the achievements are straightforward and the majority of them are story related. From what I remember, only one achievement could be missed. There was only one DLC, and only required one playthrough, so it just required me to play through the game and DLC to get the 100%.

The next three games I completed were the next games in the Walking Dead series. The achievements followed the same format and were all simple for me to get. All of these were done January 2021 during Covid, before I was really interested in unlocking every achievement.

Due to this, my next 100% didn’t come until October of the same year. This was Life is Strange which is another simple game with a completion that didn’t require much more effort than just playing the main story. At this point I was still just playing games casually, and only went for the 100% if it was minimal effort to do so.

The following couple of months I played two multiplayer games with my boyfriend, in which we decided to unlock all the achievements for fun. These games were: It Takes Two and A Way Out. These were easy completions as they just required us to play through the game and interact with random miscellaneous things within the game to unlock all achievements.

It was June 2023 when I stopped playing casually and started focusing on completing games. The first game that I completed during this time was Assassin’s Creed Origins. This took me around 82 hours and was a bit of a grind, but it was a completion that I enjoyed.

Since then, I have completed 11 more games, a lot of which were Assassin’s Creed titles. I plan to get many more completions in the future and it is something I am consistently working on.

Games I Gave up on

I don’t usually give up on game completions. If I decide to go for one, I usually commit to it. However, there have been a few exceptions. I planned on going for the completion on Far Cry 5, but at some point, stopped working towards it. I have all the base game achievements, missing only some DLC achievements and the one for completing the game on new game plus on infamous difficulty. I have put 84 hours into this game, with 82% of the achievements. I do plan on going back to this game as it is frustrating to leave it unfinished, but I am unsure when I will do this. This is due to being stuck at one part of the game on infamous difficulty which made me want to throw my Xbox down the stairs. Another game that I have gave up on for now is Assassins Creed 2. I played this game back in 2014 and unlocked 90% of the achievements. I recently decided to go back and get the last four achievements I was missing. My old save from my Xbox 360 had been deleted so I had to start a fresh sa...

Recent Completions

My most recent completion was Mafia: Definitive edition. This was a game that I’d previously played and decided to go back to and get the rest of the achievements. This is rated a 6/10 difficulty and is predicted to take around 25 hours. The difficulty is a six as it requires you to play through the game on the hardest difficulty. I actually didn’t find this a challenge, apart from the race mission which took me hours to do. It took me so long that I learned all the scripted dialogue in the mission. I hate driving in games, and this race is notoriously hard, but eventually I got it. This completion also took me considerably longer than predicted as I had to reset my save and play through the game again due to an achievement being bugged. Luckily, I could play on the easiest difficulty to get the last achievement, but it still ended up taking me 43 hours overall.   Before Mafia, I unlocked all of the achievements in Assassins Creed Odyssey. This was another previously pla...

Next Completions

The next 100% that I am working on is Zoo Tycoon: Ultimate animal collection. I currently have 50% of the achievements and have spent 64 hours playing the game. This game is predicated on TrueAchievements to take 80-100 hours to complete. This was a game that I started playing casually with friends in 2020 and only recently decided to go for the completion. While time consuming, the game isn’t very difficult and is laid back so I’ve been enjoying playing it in my spare time, unlike other completions I’ve went for. Its not as fun as some of the other Zoo Tycoon games as it is less in depth with building and gameplay elements. In the other games you get to design exhibits, whereas in this one they are just pre-sets. You also can't delete walls in exhibits and allow your lions to escape and eat all your guests which is a real shame, but nonetheless it is still fun.    The next completion that I plan on going for is Hogwarts Legacy. This is a game that I bought on relea...
